Lower Woodwind Tutor

Lindsay is a lively and energetic Bassoonist and contra bassoonist. She coaches in many schools mainly in the Guildford area, covering all ages and levels from beginner and amateur players to aspiring young professionals.

Lindsay started the bassoon for the skill section of her Gold Duke of Edinburgh (for just a year, honestly!!) She then went on to study it at Birmingham Conservatoire and Trinity College of Music (now Trinity Laban). While there she learnt the Contra Bassoon which became her passion and was soon suggesting that her parents re-mortgage the house to help buy one. She is now a freelance musician playing with orchestras including RPO, LPO and BBC orchestras as well as local orchestras.

When she is not enjoying spreading her love of the bassoon to anyone who will listen she is also involved in Girlguiding, endurance swimming (she has swum the English Channel) and looking after 4 family collie dogs.
